RECITALS AUSTRALIA AWARDS PROGRAM PROCEDURES

Currently open - closing 31st October 2011

The following procedures for the awarding of grants, scholarships and prizes have been produced by the council of Recitals Australia with the assistance of an independent panel. They are intended to support and advance developing musicians in their careers through financial assistance and encouragement. Every effort has been made to ensure transparency and fairness in the assessment process.

Recitals Australia Grants

The awards previously known as Recitals Australia Travel Grants shall hereby be known as Recitals Australia Grants.

Written applications should include as many of the following items as are relevant to the program proposal and level of funding sought:

  • A comprehensive CV/resume, including a record of relevant achievements, eg AMEB examination results, awards, prizes, invitations to perform, etc.

  • A transcript of the applicant’s academic record.

  • A detailed description of the program to be undertaken, including a statement showing in what ways the program would be likely to enhance the applicant’s performing career.

  • Proof of acceptance by a training institution or individual teacher if relevant to the application.

  • A budget for the program.

  • A CD or DVD recording of a recent performance.

  • Other relevant support materials; eg, reviews of performances.
