Ern Arthur Travel Scholarship

This award, established by Neville Arthur to honour his father’s contribution to music, is offered annually. It provides the sum of $2,500 for overseas travel.

> Any substantial enterprise designed to further the recipient’s performance career will be considered for support.
> Appropriate proposals would include: studying at a recognised institution or with a distinguished teacher, performing at an audition, or participating in a competition or summer school.
> Applicants must have been members of Recitals Australia for two consecutive years immediately prior to the application date to be eligible to apply.


Applications, from Recital Australia members, should be made in writing to the Secretary:

The application should include a Curriculum Vitae, and set out the proposed program, the dates of travel, and the expected benefit to the recipient’s career.

The closing date for applications for the 2009 award is April 30. Applicants will be notified of the results approximately one month later.
